SOT POTs, anyone?

Spend my Raya holiday in Peacehaven, Genting. Actually, I never had any intention to sign up for iPOTs wan (Professionals of Tomorrow, by FES)...coz I really wanna balik kampung so much but no bus ticket. My brother abandoned my and went back so...here I am...got nothing to do and after being persuaded like mad, ok la...sign up for it.

And wa la~ No Regrets!! (Notice the capital letters??) POTs rocks! I'm serious!! Those who missed it, please sign up for it when it's on again (I dunno when la the next wan...Sorry la...). Met so many "kakis" with the same mind, same vision, same....same....same everything la! Hahaha! And many of us just got to know each other in the Conference itself! It's amazing how God brings people from all walks of life together and *whirr*!! Blends them together to become...SOT POTs! (Students of Today, Professionals of Tomorrow...not complete nutcases k??)

So...what exactly did all the SOT POTs do in the conference?? It's a life changing experience because in this conference, many of us heard our calling as professionals of tomorrow, be it as a teacher, as soldiers in the medical line or as comrades battling in the legal world. Instead of complaining so much about Malaysia, about the corruption, lousy roads, discrimination etc etc... Why not take up the cross and make a change? Instead of thinking of which country to migrate to, why not stay behind and make a change in this country? There's no need to go to the ends of the earth for mission trips. By staying behind and serving the country is a mission itself already!

There were 3 very powerful sessions which were the MIA sessions. Are we Missing In Action? There were Missing Grace, Missing Voice, and Missing Presence. In a country where the minorities cry foul over mistreatment and discrimination, where is the grace of God in the midst of it? And where are the voices that will stand up to speak on behalf of the voiceless? (This is a challenge especially to all lawyers out there)! Are we, Christian professionals, out there to defend the rights of the people and upholding justice? Or are we running away, packing our bags and head towards the greener grass at the other side of the fence? And being Professionals of Tomorrow, are we going to remain missing in our families? Are we going to leave our families behind in pursuit of wealth? Are we going to be there for our spouse and kids? Or do we just dump them in the hands of maids and continue in chasing after our hedonistic idols?

In such conferences, mana boleh lupa things like games?? That's one of the highlights! There were the Ping-Pong Softball, Futsal Kaki 3 and Dodgeball. All super ganas games! Quite a number of people earned nasty bruises, not to mention being skinned alive during the games, due to the tackling and stuff! The guys pulak...aiyo! Goin all our to kill the female race during Dodgeball! What happened to all those "gentleman" stuff???!! Everyone told me the Ping-Pong Softball's the best but I missed the game due to a bad allergic reaction to my blankie!!! Uwahhh!!! Tak aci! But then the rest also not bad la! Lots of screaming and fun! I'm gonna kill Shu for killing me so fast in Dodgeball!!!

There just so much fun, so much of God's presence throughout the whole 5 days and all of us bonded so well with each other that we didn't want to leave during the last day! (Well, at least for me la... I seriously was reluctant to leave my new-found kakis!) And I know it's been a breakthrough conference for me because God showed me His purpose for me in my life...How studying law was not a coincidence but a calling from Him in my life and how i can be of greater service to Malaysia instead of sitting around complaining and criticising....

Hooray for iPOTs and double Hoorays for SOT POTs!!!
